Yucca Bright Edge, commonly known as Adam’s Needle, is a variegated, evergreen shrub grown for its foliage and flowers. It features sharp-tipped, sword-shaped leaves that have a yellow edge and dark green-blue centre. In summer a flower spike rises above the foliage to bear masses of pendulous, cream-coloured flowers. The combination of flowers and foliage is impressive. It typically grows as a clump to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It will tolerate extended dry periods, moderate wind, and frost. Yucca Bright Edge is commonly included in a mixed planting, used in borders, or grown in a container.
