Westringia Glabra Cadabra is a variety of the commonly known, Coastal Rosemary, and is a popular fast-growing, bushy shrub. It features small green leaves held densely on short stems which becomes adorned with small and dainty, light pink-purple flowers throughout the year as it grows to 1.5 m tall and 1.2 m wide. Westringia Glabra Cadabra is commonly included in a mixed planting, planted around outdoor living areas, trimmed into a hedge, or included in coastal gardens.

How far apart to plant Westringia Glabra Cadabra

Westringia Glabra Cadabra can be grown as a hedge or as standalone plants. For a hedge, the spacing is generally 50 cm between the plants. If you want the hedge to fill in faster, you can shorten the spacing to 40 cm. As standalone plants that don’t merge, the minimum spacing is 1.75 m apart. If the goal is to achieve an informal hedge such that the natural form of the plants is realised and with some merging, the recommended spacing is 100 cm apart.
