Westringia ‘Aussie Box’ is a variety of the commonly known, Coastal Rosemary, and is a popular fast-growing, bushy shrub. It has fine and narrow, dark green-grey leaves held densely off short stems. The foliage is complemented during spring and summer with small and dainty, white flowers. This evergreen typically grows to 90 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of dry periods, most soil conditions, frost, and coastal environments. In NZ gardens Westringia ‘Aussie Box’ is commonly included in a mixed planting, maintained in a container, included in coastal gardens, trimmed into a low hedge, or mass planted for an impressive display.
