Viburnum Lucidum Details

Viburnum tinus Lucidum is an evergreen shrub grown for its foliage and flowers. Pink buds open to reveal showy clusters of white flowers during late winter and early spring. These are held on gently arching branches that also host dark green leaves, and result in dark blue-black berries. The combination of flowers and foliage is very aesthetic. It typically grows to 3 m tall and 2.5 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this plant is achieved when grown in full sun on a well-drained site, though it will tolerate dry periods, coastal conditions, moderate frost, and cool climates. Viburnum Lucidum is commonly grown as a specimen, included in a mixed planting, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, or trimmed into a hedge.
