Viburnum Eskimo

Viburnum Eskimo features impressive foliage and showy flowers. The cream-white flowers appear like giant snow balls and literally coat the plant during spring. The lush foliage is glossy and emerges bright green, ages to become dark green, then develops shades of red, yellow, and orange in autumn before falling as it grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide. Viburnum Eskimo is commonly included in a mixed planting, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, or maintained in a container.

Viburnum Eskimo Details

Viburnum Eskimo features impressive foliage and showy flowers. Pink flower buds open to reveal clusters of mildly fragrant, cream-white flowers during spring. The flowers appear like giant snow balls and literally coat the plant. They are great for attracting birds and bees and are followed by glossy, black berries. The lush foliage is glossy and emerges bright green, ages to become dark green, then develops shades of red, yellow, and orange in autumn before falling. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this shrub is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It is a hardy plant that will tolerate dry periods, coastal conditions, frost, and cool climates. Viburnum Eskimo is commonly included in a mixed planting, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, or maintained in a container.
