Viburnum bodnantense Dawn

“Dawn” is a deciduous and popular variety of Viburnum due to its foliage and flowers. Pink buds open to reveal showy clusters of small and fragrant, pink flowers during late winter and spring. Flowering begins just before the foliage emerges and results in purple-black berries in summer. The foliage emerges bronze tinted in spring, ages to become dark green, and then develops colourful shades of red in autumn before falling. The combination of flowers and foliage is very aesthetic. It typically grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this variety is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site.
