Syringa vulgaris Sensation, commonly known as Sensation Lilac, is a popular variety grown for its showy flowers from late spring through summer. During this time, purple buds open to reveal clusters of fragrant, single, purple-pink flowers with a white rim. These are absolutely stunning and are great for attracting butterflies. The foliage comprises dark green, heart-shaped leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling.
