Syringa Condorcet is a variety of French Lilac grown for its showy flowers from late spring through summer. During this time, pink buds open to reveal clusters of fragrant, semi-double, light blue-pink flowers. The foliage comprises dark green, heart-shaped leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It grows upright with a somewhat loose habit to about 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide. Syringa Condorcet is commonly included in a mixed planting, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, or used as a flowering hedge.

Syringa Condorcet Details

Syringa Condorcet is a variety of French Lilac grown for its showy flowers from late spring through summer. During this time, pink buds open to reveal clusters of fragrant, semi-double, light blue-pink flowers. These are absolutely stunning and are also great for attracting butterflies. The foliage comprises dark green, heart-shaped leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It grows upright with a somewhat loose habit to about 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide though can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this plant is achieved when grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of light shade, short periods of dry, frost, and cool climates. Syringa Condorcet is commonly included in a mixed planting, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, or used as a flowering hedge.
