Spiraea cantoniensis, commonly known as Double Bridal Wreath, is grown for its pretty flowers. Clusters of showy, white flowers literally coat the plant like snow through spring. This deciduous shrub grows upright with gracefully arching branches that host dark green leaves as it grows to 2 m tall and the same wide. Spiraea cantoniensis is commonly included in a mixed planting, used in cottage or “white” gardens, trimmed into a hedge, or mass planted for a stunning display.

Spiraea cantoniensis, commonly known as Double Bridal Wreath, is grown for its pretty flowers. Clusters of showy, white flowers literally coat the plant like snow through spring. This deciduous shrub grows upright with gracefully arching branches that host dark green leaves which have a pale blue-green underside. It typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of coastal conditions, frost, and cool climates. Spiraea cantoniensis is commonly included in a mixed planting, used in cottage or “white” gardens, trimmed into a hedge, or mass planted for a stunning display.
