It features long, dark green leaves and grows to about 2 m tall and the same wide. The foliage is complemented with mauve flowers throughout the year which are followed by yellow-orange berries that attract birds. Solanum aviculare is commonly used in native gardens, revegetation plantings, or included in a mixed planting.
