Native Angelica, Koheriki
Scandia rosifolia, also known as koheriki or native angelica, is a low-growing, aromatic shrub native to New Zealand's North Island. It typically reaches around 1 metre tall and features glossy, divided leaves with delicate white flower clusters in spring and summer. Naturally found on coastal cliffs, banks and open rocky areas, it thrives in full sun or light shade and well-drained soil. Ideal for exposed garden sites and native plantings, this nationally vulnerable species is both attractive and ecologically valuable.
