Santolina pinnata subsp. Neapolitana

This evergreen shrub forms a mound of aromatic, grey-green foliage which is very aesthetic. The foliage is fine and has a “soft” look to it. The foliage is complemented with white, button-like flowers through summer which are great for attracting bees. It typically grows to 75 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. That said, it is hardy to moderate frost, dry periods, cool climates, and coastal environments. This is an ideal plant for Mediterranean gardens, coastal plantings, mixed plantings, or using to contrast with other plant colours and textures.
