Rhododendron Scarlet King features large clusters of rich red flowers. The showy blooms are produced through spring and are complemented with glossy, dark green leaves. It typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide, performing best when positioned in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of moderate frost and dry periods. Only acidic fertilisers should be used with Rhododendrons as fertilising with lime can kill or stunt the plant.
