Rhododendron Ramapo is a smaller variety that produces masses of small, mid-purple blooms in spring. It is reasonably fast growing with an erect growth habit, bearing dark green leaves that develop bronze tones in winter. It is tolerant of frosts but should be protected from harsh frosts when young.
