Rhododendron High Society is a popular variety of Rhododendron that features masses of showy apricot-pink flowers through spring. The flowers turn cream-white with a yellow throat as they age and result in a very colourful display. It is reasonably fast growing with an erect growth habit, bearing dark green leaves that complement the flowers nicely. It typically grows to 1.2 m tall and the same wide, performing best when grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, though should be protected from harsh frosts when young. Rhododendron High Society is a great choice for adding to a mixed planting, planting as a backdrop for smaller plants, including in cottage gardens, or growing anywhere a colourful and attractive plant is desired.
