Rhododendron Alice features large and showy flowers that are pink with darker edges during spring. It is a reasonably fast-growing hybrid with an erect growth habit. The leaves are dark green and serve as a lovely complement to the flowers. It typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide, performing best when grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frosts but should be protected from harsh frosts when young. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. Rhododendron Alice is a great choice for adding to a mixed planting, planting as a backdrop for smaller plants, using in cottage gardens, or growing as a specimen.
