“Oriental Pearl” is an easy care shrub grown for its impressive flowering. It features sprays of white flowers set amidst lush and glossy, dark green foliage. The leaves provide a fantastic contrast to the flowers. It grows compactly to about 80 cm tall and 1 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site that does not dry out. It is tolerant of moderate frost, coastal environments, and some wind. “Oriental Pearl” is commonly included in borders, mass planted either on a bank or as a groundcover, grown as a low hedge, planted around outdoor living areas, or included in “white” and cottage gardens.
