Pomaderris rugosa, also known as wrinkle-leaf kūmaraho, is a hardy, much-branched shrub native to coastal and lowland areas of the upper North Island of New Zealand. It grows up to 3 metres tall and has narrow, wrinkled green leaves with pale, fuzzy undersides. Cream to yellow flower clusters appear from spring to early summer. This resilient species thrives in poor, free-draining soils and tolerates frost, wind and coastal conditions. Ideal for native revegetation, coastal planting, and low-maintenance landscape use.
