Tauhinu
Pomaderris phylicifolia is a small, upright shrub native to northern New Zealand, typically growing 1 to 1.5 metres tall. It has narrow, wrinkled leaves with rolled edges and soft, hairy undersides. From spring to early summer, it produces clusters of small pale yellow to cream flowers. This hardy species thrives in exposed, low-fertility sites such as clay banks, scrub margins, and coastal areas. Well suited to restoration planting, it tolerates sun, wind, and drought but is vulnerable to grazing and habitat disturbance.
