Pleioblastus viridistriatus is a small shrub grown for its colourful foliage. It produces slender and lush foliage that is variegated yellow and light green. This is held off rigid, upright stems. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and periods of dry though under these conditions it may become deciduous.
