Plectranthus zuluensis, commonly known as Swedish Ivy, is a fast-growing perennial with a rounded growth habit. It produces glossy, mid-green leaves off slender stems. The foliage is complemented with sprays of blue flowers in summer and autumn. It typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide, and is easily contained with trimming. This Swedish Ivy variety grows best in partial shade on a well-drained site that does not dry out. It must be protected from frost and wind. Plectranthus zuluensis is commonly included in mixed plantings in cottage and woodland gardens.
