Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Tandara Gold’ is grown for its gorgeous, variegated foliage. The dense foliage on this evergreen is small, rounded, and wavy, and has a golden yellow centre with a dark green edge. This evergreen typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary which will help keep the plant dense. Best performance with this shrub is achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of most soil types, except extreme wet or dry, medium shade, coastal conditions, wind, and moderate frost. Pittosporum ‘Tandara Gold’ is commonly used for shelter, screening, and hedging. It makes for a lovely backdrop for smaller plants as well as a stunning specimen and is well suited for planting around outdoor living areas. This is a beautiful plant for a NZ garden.
