Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Ivory Tower’ is a NZ native shrub grown for its foliage. It has large, pale green leaves edged with white, held somewhat densely. This evergreen typically grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide and can be contained with trimming as necessary. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of most soil types, except extreme wet or dry, moderate shade and frost, wind, and coastal conditions. Pittosporum ‘Ivory Tower’ is commonly used for shelter, screening, and hedging. It makes an attractive specimen and is often used as a backdrop to other plants or planted around outdoor living areas to provide both privacy and lovely aesthetics.
