Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Golden Ball’ is a dwarf variety of Pittosporum grown for its attractive foliage and rounded form. Small and glossy, yellow-green foliage is produced on this shrub as it grows with a tight, ‘ball’ shaped habit. Through spring and summer, it produces small and scented, purple flowers. It typically grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide and can be shaped as desired. This evergreen performs best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site though is tolerant of most soil types except, extreme wet or dry. It is also tolerant of frost, coastal conditions, and cool climates. Pittosporum ‘Golden Ball’ is ideal for trimming into balls, including in mixed plantings, planting around pool or other living areas, using to border an entrance, or for maintaining in a container.
