Perching Kohuhu, Tawhirikaro
Pittosporum cornifolium, commonly known as Tawhirikaro or Perching Kohuhu, is a NZ native shrub grown with glossy and lush foliage that is light green and ages to become dark green. Red flower buds open in spring to reveal small and fragrant, yellow flowers. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 2 m tall and 1 m wide. Pittosporum cornifolium is commonly included in a mixed planting, added to a woodland garden, used in native plantings, or included in riparian plantings.
