Pittosporum anomalum Details

Pittosporum anomalum is a divaricating, NZ native shrub. That is, the branches are more prominent than the leaves, hence it appears as a mass of stems. The foliage is small, dark green, and held in clusters. The plant is adorned with small and fragrant, cream-white flowers tinged with red during spring. It typically grows to 1 m high and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, wind, coastal conditions, and periods of dry. The intertwined branches of this plant make it a striking feature in any garden. Pittosporum anomalum is commonly used to contrast with leafier plants, added to a mixed planting, or grown as something a little different.
