Pimelea Ferruginea Bonne Petite, commonly known as the Pink Rice Flower, is a NZ native shrub grown for its amazing, pink flowers which literally transforms the plant during spring and summer. The flowers are borne in clusters at the end of stems that also host small and lustrous, dark green foliage. The combination of flowers and foliage is very aesthetic. It grows as a rounded shrub to about 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is a hardy plant that is tolerant of extended dry periods, wind, and moderate frost. Pimelea Ferruginea Bonne Petite is commonly included in a mixed planting, added to a native planting, included in a border, or maintained in a container.
