Pieris japonica White Cascade Details

Pieris japonica White Cascade is a large and decorative, evergreen shrub. This rounded shrub carries chains of red pink flower buds that open into white flowers. They are borne through spring as pendent like clusters on graceful, arching stems and literally transform the plant. The new foliage is mid-green but matures to become leathery, glossy, and dark green. It grows with a somewhat pendulous nature to about 2.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. Leaf colouring and flowering performance will be reduced as the levels of shade are increased. It is frost hardy once established. Pieris japonica White Cascade makes for a superb specimen and is well suited to adding to a mixed planting.
