Pieris japonica Purity is an attractive shrub grown for both its foliage and flowers. This compact, rounded shrub produces masses of white, urn shaped flowers in pendent-like clusters on graceful stems. The flowers are mildly fragrant and are produced from winter through spring. The flowers are complemented with glossy, dark green foliage which affords a beautiful contrast. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, growing best on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade.
