Ozothamnus Springtime White

Rice Flower

“Springtime White” is a shrub grown for its prolific flowering and drought tolerance. Clusters of white flowers with a paper-like appearance are borne through spring. These are produced above the fine, dark green foliage. It grows with a dense and rounded shape to about 1.5 m tall and 1 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this evergreen are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of extended dry periods, coastal environments, and moderate frost. “Springtime White” is commonly included in a mixed or border planting, added to “white” or cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools and barbecue areas, or maintained in a container. This is a great for using in the drier areas of the garden where other plants struggle. The flowers are often used in dried flower arrangements.
