Olearia virgata Details

Olearia virgata is an evergreen, NZ native shrub that grows to about 4 m tall and 2 m wide. It has an open, twiggy habit with small, green foliage. Masses of daisy-like flowers are borne across the plant during summer. Best performance with this shrub is achieved when it is planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of coastal environments, wind, light frost, and periods of dry. Olearia virgata is commonly included in a mixed planting, revegetation planting, trimmed into a hedge, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, or used for shelter on dry, exposed sites.
