Olearia furfuracea, commonly known as the Akepiro tree, is a NZ native shrub with large and leathery green leaves that have a white buff on the underside. The foliage is adorned during summer with white, daisy-like flowers as it grows to 3 m tall and 1.5 m wide. Olearia furfuracea is commonly included in mixed plantings, revegetation plantings, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.
