“Richmond” is an evergreen shrub grown for its colourful foliage impressive sprays of red berries. The leaves are dark green with red tones which become more prominent through winter. Small, white flowers are borne in summer which are followed by masses of brilliant red berries. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and 1 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this plant is achieved when grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of moderate frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry. “Richmond” is ideal for “oriental” and cottage gardens, adding to a mixed planting, or including anywhere vibrant colour is desired.
