Harbour Belle Nandina

The Harbour Belle Nandina is a compact, evergreen shrub grown for its colourful foliage. New foliage is burgundy red and ages to green but still with the burgundy tones. As autumn and winter progress, the burgundy colouring intensifies. Small, white flowers are borne in summer which are followed by bright red berries in autumn and winter. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, some wind, short periods of dry, and coastal conditions. The Harbour Belle Nandina is a tidy plant that is ideal for planting around outdoor living areas, such as pools including in a mixed planting, planting as a backdrop for smaller plants, maintaining in a container, growing as an informal hedge, or using anywhere a hardy and attractive shrub is desired.
