“Blush” is a compact, evergreen shrub grown for its colourful foliage. The new foliage produced from spring through until autumn is a colourful red and ages to yellow-green. However, during the cooler months of autumn and winter the entire plant turns red. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, some wind, short periods of dry, and coastal environments. “Blush” is a lovely plant that is commonly included in rock gardens, planting around outdoor living areas such as pools, included in a mixed or border planting, maintained in a container, or using anywhere a hardy and attractive shrub is desired.
