The foliage is held densely and from mid-spring through early summer it produces masses of small yet showy, fragrant, white flowers. It typically grows to 3 m tall and the same width. Myrtus communis 'Variegata' is commonly used in mixed plantings, grown as a specimen, trimmed into a hedge, or maintained in a container. It is a hardy and versatile plant.
