Murraya exotica, commonly known as Orange Jessamine or Orange Jasmine, is an attractive, medium-sized shrub grown for its foliage and flowers. It grows compactly and bears aromatic, glossy, dark green leaves. Clusters of sweetly scented, small, white flowers appear during summer and are followed by small, red fruits in autumn. It typically grows to 2.5 m tall and the same wide and can be contained with trimming as necessary. Best performance with Murraya exotica is achieved when it is grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site, protected from frosts. Orange Jessamine is commonly included in a mixed planting, grown as a specimen, planted around outdoor living areas, included in a tropical garden, or planted so its beauty and fragrance can be enjoyed.
