Metrosideros 'Midas' is a variety of the commonly known Pohutukawa, and is grown for its impressive foliage and flowers. This NZ native Christmas tree produces stunning displays of crimson-red flowers in summer. They sit neatly with the lush foliage which emerges on red stems and is variegated green and yellow as it grows to 4 m tall and the same wide. Metrosideros 'Midas' is an excellent choice for coastal gardens, adding to mixed plantings, or trimmed into a hedge. This Pohutukawa is an easy plant to grow and is colourful year-round.
