Melaleuca Mountain Fire is an evergreen shrub grown for its pretty flowers and colourful foliage. New growth emerges a fiery, purple-red and ages to become dark green with purple overtones. The foliage is held on gently arching branch which also host masses of cream-coloured flowers during summer. The flowers are fragrant and have a bottlebrush-like appearance. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of heavy soils as well as coastal environments, moderate frost, and dry periods.
