Melaleuca lateritia, commonly known as the Robin Redbreast Bush, is a small shrub grown for its pretty flowers. It has dense, almost needle like, green foliage which is held on arching branches. It produces masses of orange-red, bottlebrush like flowers from spring through summer. This evergreen typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of wet, swampy conditions, coastal environments, moderate frost, and dry periods.
