Lonicera ‘Honey Hedge Lemon’ is an evergreen shrub often used instead of Buxus for hedges. It carries dense, upright branches that host small and glossy leaves that are variegated green and yellow. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and 1 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary, even down to 30 cm. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, coastal conditions, and dry periods. Lonicera ‘Honey Hedge Lemon’ is often used in NZ gardens for hedging and topiary, included in a mixed planting, or used to brighten up an area.
