Leucothoe Crimson Globe is a beautiful shrub which is grown of its colourful foliage. New foliage is red and ages to a dark green with red-purple undertones, which results in a multi-coloured plant. During the cooler months the leaves develop more prominent purple-red tones. The foliage is complemented with clusters of showy, white flowers in spring. It typically grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of cool climates, moderate frost once established, and short periods of dry.
