Leucadendron Superstar Details

Leucadendron Superstar is grown for its amazing flowers. The spectacular flowers have red bracts which lighten to cream-yellow at the centre. These are held year-round and are complemented with dark green foliage which develops bronze tones in winter. This evergreen shrub grows with a tidy, erect habit to about 1.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site. Plants will tend to be more open when grown in partial shade and flowering may be compromised. It will tolerate dry periods, coastal environments, and cool climates though heavy frost areas should be avoided. Leucadendron Superstar is commonly included in a mixed planting, planted around the barbecue or pool area, maintained in a container, or planted to provide winter colour.
