Leucadendron Safari Sunshine Details

Leucadendron Safari Sunshine is grown for its amazing, Protea like flowers. The flowers held from autumn through winter comprise a tulip arrangement of pink and red bracts. It has a tidy, erect growth habit, carries mid-green foliage, and typically reaches 1.5 m tall and the same wide. Best performance with this evergreen shrub is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site. Plants will tend to be more open when grown in partial shade and flowering may be compromised. It will tolerate dry periods, coastal environments, and cool climates though harsh frost areas should be avoided. Leucadendron Safari Sunshine is commonly included in a mixed planting, planted around barbecue or pool areas, used to complement other plant forms, maintained in a container, or planted to provide winter colour.
