“Inca Gold” is a variety of Leucadendron grown for its amazing flowers. The flowers are made up of large, golden yellow bracts and are held year round. The flowers are complemented with dark green foliage held off erect stems. This evergreen shrub grows with a tidy and erect habit to about 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site. Plants will tend to be more open when grown in partial shade and flowering may be compromised. It will tolerate dry periods, coastal environments, and cool climates though heavy frost areas should be avoided. “Inca Gold” is commonly included in a mixed planting, planted around the barbecue or pool area, maintained in a container, or planted to provide winter colour.
