Leucadendron Fireglow Details

Leucadendron Fireglow, commonly known as Cone Bush, is grown for its colourful and showy flowers. The flowers are made up of fiery red bracts with a touch of cream and are produced from autumn through spring. It carries mid-green foliage and grows with a tidy and erect habit to about 1.5 m tall and the same wide. Best performance with this plant is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site. Plants will tend to be more open when grown in partial shade and flowering may be compromised. It will tolerate dry periods, coastal environments, and cool climates though heavy frost areas should be avoided. Leucadendron Fire Glow is commonly included in a mixed planting, planted around the barbecue or pool area, maintained in a container, or planted to provide winter colour.
