Leucadendron laureolum x salignum Cream Delight is a variety of Leucadendron grown for its amazing, Protea like flowers. The flowers from autumn through spring comprise cream bracts flushed with pink. It has a tidy, erect growth habit, carries mid-green foliage, and typically reaches 1.5 m tall and the same wide. Best performance with this evergreen shrub is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site. Plants will tend to be more open when grown in partial shade and flowering may be compromised. It will tolerate dry periods, coastal environments, and cool climates though harsh frost areas should be avoided. Leucadendron Cream Delight is commonly included in a mixed planting, planted around barbecue or pool areas, used to complement other plant forms, maintained in a container, or planted to provide winter colour.
