It produces masses of double, white flowers that age to magenta pink during spring and summer. The foliage comprises small, rounded, dark green leaves which provide a lovely backdrop to the flowers as it grows to 3 m tall and 2.5 m wide. Leptospermum scoparium Martini is commonly used as a backdrop for smaller plants, included in a mixed planting, trimmed into a hedge, or planted against a bland wall.

Leptospermum Martini Details

Leptospermum Martini (aka Leptospermum Martinii) is a variety of Manuka grown for its prolific flowering. It produces masses of double, white flowers that age to magenta pink during spring and summer. The foliage comprises small, rounded, dark green leaves which provide a lovely backdrop to the flowers. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 3 m tall and 2.5 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. It performs best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. This hardy plant will survive dry periods, coastal conditions, frost, and a wide range of soil conditions barring extreme wet or dry. Leptospermum scoparium Martini is commonly used as a backdrop for smaller plants, included in a mixed planting, trimmed into a hedge, or planted against a bland wall.
