Leptospermum Kea

Leptospermum Kea is a small shrub that produces masses of exquisite, pink flowers with a dark centre from spring through summer. The flowers literally blanket the plant. The foliage consists of small, dark green leaves which are held densely and give off a pleasant fragrance on warm days or when brushed against as it grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide. Leptospermum nanum Kea is a small shrub that produces masses of exquisite, pink flowers with a dark centre from spring through summer. The flowers literally blanket the plant. The foliage consists of small, dark green leaves which are held densely and give off a pleasant fragrance on warm days or when brushed against. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is a hardy plant and will tolerate dry periods, coastal conditions, moderate frost, some wind, and a wide range of soil conditions barring extreme wet or dry.
