Leptospermum scoparium Daydream

Leptospermum scoparium Daydream is a fast-growing shrub that produces masses of bright, purple and red flowers from spring through summer. The foliage consists of finely pointed, mid green leaves and they give off a pleasant fragrance during warm weather. This Manuka will grow to about 1.8 m tall and the same wide when planted in full sun. In shaded conditions it will grow more open with reduced flowering. It will tolerate drought, poorer drained sites, and cool climates. Leptospermum scoparium Daydream is commonly included in mixed plantings, for screening, shelter, hedging, as a backdrop for smaller plants, or planted to attract native fauna. The fine foliage makes it a lovely addition to any garden.
